Re: Office Hours: Content 📝
Hi guys!
I can't wait for this session. Two questions I have that I want to know your opinions on:
1) I'm the Head of Digital Marketing for a Sales Business school. However, it's just me and we're putting together a content strategy to start engaging our target audience better. What's the quickest way to increase output whilst not sacrificing focus on other areas that need to be attended to? FYI, I'm a one man band at the moment.
2) What is you guys' opinion on creating content around past customers, who may not be customers anymore? They're super relevant for now and are great stories for what the business has done for its customers. But the individuals that we dealt with are no longer at the company. What would be your approach to this?
Thanks in advance!
Eddie
Re: Office Hours: Content 📝
Hey everyone! We're all really excited over here.
👩🏻🦰 I'm Sarah! I work on a lot of our eBooks/reports and event/webinar decks at Drift (along with some blogging here and there). Can't wait to chat with all of you.
Me anxiously craving more human interaction this month 👇
Office Hours: Content 📝
What’s behind the Drift content machine? On May 28th, we’re telling all! Together Gail, Molly, and Sarah have produced more than 1,000 pieces of content in the last year (😱) – that’s blogs, books, podcasts, newsletter, webinars and everything in between.
During office hours you’ll be able ask them your burning content questions. Add office hours to your calendar here.

Re: Hey B2B marketers....Brand vs Demand Gen?
Depends on how good you are at building chatbots and and conversational content. I just built one for a client today. They are crushing it and it is a PDF. They have a site as well, but we are pushing all traffic to the conversational content bot and conversational video.
If you are going to have anyone go to your site. You'll want to also make sure that your brand is consistent with your bot. Here is a link to a video that explains building branding into your bot. It's on the most recent Drift blog you can find here. Check out #6..."you bot doesn't reflect your brand". https://www.drift.com/blog/why-people-leave-chat/
Let me know if that helps!
Re: Customer experience - what are your thoughts on it, and what strategies do you have going into 2020?
The customer experience is what so many companies focus on. I find one that is just as important is the prospect experience...hence why I love Drift...for both!
One thing that often gets missed when folks build out Drift is creating different bots for different segments. When this doesn't happen it creates an awkward customer experience and prospects
For example:
You can target different bots based on whether someone is a customer or not... yet often the Drift instances that are not segmented will try to push a current customer into booking a demo
It's also an awkward prospect experience when you go to a site and one of the options in the bot is... I am a customer
Segmenting is very powerful.
My main strategy in 2020 is to create more contextual experiences using Drift, Drift video, and conversational content. My goal is to really create a cohesive and highly contextual experience for every prospect and customer. This includes being contextual based on the site they came from, the ad, or platform.
I would suggest interviewing the best customer experience person that I have ever seen. His name is Buddy Bombard...he created the most luxurious experiences in the world. Customer service and customer experience is all he focused on...he happened to have the wealthiest of the wealthiest tour with him. It was most possibly the best luxury tour operation ever created. Did this in the 80's and 90's. His thoughts hold so much truth.
Re: Good virtual event software?
Hey Reina!
We too, are going virtual. Drift is actually hosting RevGrowth Virtual Summit on April 16-17 (you should join us!). We're using ON24 for the event, but I know there's some other great tools/platforms out there too like Bizzabo and Wistia which might be checking into. Hope it helps!

Re: Community and Customers, we're here for you.
Good question, @[email protected]!
Leveraging bots from a registration perspective has helped us increase total registrants and generate qualified leads in the process.
We use Drift bots to register interested people and lead to new conversations. When a visitor clicks the "Register" button on our website, a Driftbot is triggered in the bottom right corner and guides the visitor through a quick registration flow. The visitor agrees to sign up, pops in their email, and then receives an email confirmation and some other content to check out in the meantime.
At the end, our CDR's are routed into the conversation by our bot to continue engaging. Typically, the CDR will thank the visitor for signing up and attempt drive a sales conversation if the timing is right. This often leads to productive sales conversations and new qualified opportunities.
Some other folks from our team will be able to speak to the tools we use from an organizational perspective, but leveraging our bots and live chat for sign-ups is one element that works really well! It's quick and easy for the registrant, and empowers our sales team to connect with potential buyers while intent is high.

Re: Leads in a post event world
I just did a post on Linkedin about this today. Here is the Link (https://www.linkedin.com/feed/update/urn:li:activity:6644009650071175170/)
It also has Drift video that walks you though some of these specific challenges. The best thing you can do is be contextual...even contextual about Corona...
What opener we are using that is working?? See below
