What does Drift do with attachments and files shared in chat?
We use antivirus software to scan all files uploaded to the widget to protect agents against malicious attachments to the extent possible.
Note: Any AV solution will have false positives/false negatives - that is, we can lower the risk associated with malicious attachments but not eliminate it entirely.
Orgs that use this functionality should consult with their internal IT/Security teams to ensure that they have an endpoint protection solution in place, appropriate training for employees in handling these attachments, etc.
