Why am I not seeing availability on my Drift profile calendar?

edited April 12 in Settings

One of Drift's coolest features is having the ability to create a scheduling page to make it easy for your current customers or prospects to book meetings with you without having to create a long email thread.

But first, you must connect your calendar as outlined here: https://community.drift.com/discussion/247/how-to-set-up-and-schedule-a-meeting-with-your-drift-profile. If you need further troubleshooting, then refer to this doc for Google: https://community.drift.com/discussion/202/how-to-troubleshoot-google-calendar-connection-issues and Office calendars: https://community.drift.com/discussion/204/troubleshooting-office-365-calendar-connection

This article will specifically cover how to gain greater availability on your Google Calendar.

Many of us have recurring events such as "email" or "email follow-up," on our calendar that we are happy to have them booked over by clients or prospects. But the problem is that we do not see an option for Drift to schedule over them.

The reason is that when you created the event on your Google calendar, you may have marked it as busy, which prevents that time from being available for a site visitor to schedule. See below for an example.

So what we need to do is to change it from "busy" to "free," and this is how you do it.

This change will allow you to have events on your calendar while telling Drift that people can schedule in those blocks as well. For reference, please see this article as well: https://support.google.com/calendar/answer/34580?co=GENIE.Platform%3DDesktop&hl=en
