Translating Drift

edited April 12 in Settings

Drift’s Admin Panel and the majority of its features are currently hard-coded in English. However, we have started localization efforts for certain aspects of the platform and the user experience!

From your Drift Dashboard, head to Settings > Drift Widget > Design. Here, you will find the option to change your language for Drift’s localized features.

Note: This will not automatically change the messages displayed by the bot as you write those in, meaning they are not hard-coded by the Drift team. To change the messages to your desired language, go to playbooks.

Here's what we've been working on!

1. The Chat Widget

You can translate the Drift widget messaging that indicates agent status and status of the messages being sent and received.

2. The Bot Calendar Drop

Note: The calendar being dropped by the bot is a paid feature.

-The Bot Calendar Drop, which helps you book meetings, is now localized to the language you set for Drift.

Keep in mind, the calendar card itself will be localized. If the bot is dropping the calendar in a playbook, the language surrounding the calendar card will match the language defined in your widget settings.
