Authorization URL fails to open login page on mobile devices

Building an integration with Drift using oAuth. When I call authorization URL on a mobile device, rather than navigating to the login page, I am presented the App Store link of Drift with no way to dismiss. Any workaround on this issue?

  • Hi there, Community Drifter!

Chelsey, here, from Drift Support 👋 Thank you so much for reaching out.

I understand that you're unable to access your app via Drift on a mobile device. I'm going to outline some steps below. You may have already completed some, but please try the following in this order:

    • First, review this doc regarding Building an App in Drift:
    • Second, create your app within Drift's Developer platform:
    • Once your app is created, you can open up the app and use the oAuth token - which is found within the app - for the other platform you wish to use. An app always has to be created to use the API!

If you are still not having success with your issue after following the above steps, please reach out to us at [email protected] to create a ticket with our Support Team. Please provide as much context as you can about what you've tried so far and what outcome you are hoping to achieve.

    Thanks for posting!
