We've been running paid ads with Capterra for a few months with low conversions. I suspect something about our messaging is off for that audience.
Any recommendations on using Drift to figure that out?
Hi there, you should be able to get a conversion script from capterra. Then you can hook into the drift widget "emailCapture" event and manually fire the capterra conversion. It should look something like the following:
@jdewolf I have a similar setup but looking to send conversion data to Facebook ads. Although the emailCapture event isn't firing when a user types their email into a message.
I'm on the Free version but the guides don't mention if this has any affect on the event.
I'm also relying on the "type their email into a message" which i assume Drift is using some regex to detect emails in messages?
Does emailCapture work for all license types? Is there a way to trigger the event from the Free version?
documentation i'm referring to: https://devdocs.drift.com/docs/drift-events#email-captured
Hi @Maggie 👋
The email capture event only works with the email capture skill within a playbook. So if the email is being provided outside of the email capture skill, or is being manually inputted by an agent, this would unfortunately not trigger the email capture.
Unfortunately, bot skills such as the email capture skill are not available on our free plan, we don't currently have a way to trigger this event with the free plan. I apologize. 😕
